Frequently asked questions

localfirm answers your most frequently asked questions:

Q: How much is it and what does it include?
A: It is £350 with no VAT to pay as we are not VAT registered.  This price includes 1 of 10 spaces on the card and a page on our website for 1 year.  We only accept one company per Trade so once you are on, the space for your trade is yours.

Q: Why is it so cheap?
A: We can do it for such a good price because we do not waste time coming to see you for a meeting. There is nothing worse than a pushy salesman coming out and spouting his usual drivel.  We use modern techniques taking advantage of Fax and E-mail.

Q: How many copies go out?
A: Every area is slightly different but we try to work it on approx 10k per card.
If an area is slightly less then it will be because that area is a very affluent area.

Q: What is the card like?
A: The card is A5 full colour both sides and is 400gsm with a Luxury Matt Laminated finish. It feels almost waxy and is very difficult to tear or screw up.

Q: Can I have a link to my website on the localfirm site?
A: Yes of course you can. Our ultimate goal is to increase traffic to your own company website.  Your own page on our site will give you a chance to introduce yourselves, explaining what you do and also gives you the opportunity to display some client testimonials. However, the interested customer will inevitably want to visit your own website for further information.

Q: When do we need to pay?
A: We ask for £100 as a Non-Refundable deposit to cover artwork charges etc and then the remainder is due 28 days before distribution.

Q: How do we pay?
A: We accept cheques payable to LocalFirm LTD as payment for your deposit.  You will then fill out a direct debit mandate in order to allow us to collect the remaining sum and renewals every year.  Renewals will be collected 60 days before distribution date every year.

Q: Can you guarantee the renewal of my advert next year?

A: We aim to have companies renew their advert with us year after year but we do reserve the right to refuse renewal.
